Eda Gulfem Koksoy advises and represents clients of Hansu Attorney Partnership, with a practice focused on employment and commercial disputes, administrative and tax litigation, regulatory compliance, contractual disputes and corporate law.
Her work is centred on managing disputes with both legal and commercial risk in view. She is involved at every stage of commercial litigation and employer–employee disputes, from pre-action assessment and strategy through to the conduct of proceedings, and also advises clients on administrative and tax disputes.
In alternative dispute resolution, she prepares and conducts mediation processes and represents client companies in negotiations. Depending on the nature of the dispute, she focuses on assessing judicial and extra-judicial options together and managing the process in an effective, outcome-oriented way.
Her corporate advisory practice covers assessing companies' compliance with applicable legislation and the Turkish Commercial Code, and supporting corporate operations from a legal standpoint. She works on processes relating to articles of association and corporate structure, and contributes to identifying and managing legal risks arising from regulation and compliance.
In contract law, her work goes beyond drafting to the analysis of contractual risk and the management of disputes that arise after breach. Assessing disputes arising from commercial, supply and services contracts, forming litigation strategy and resolving those disputes through the courts form a substantial part of this practice.
Before joining Hansu Attorney Partnership, she worked on various mergers and acquisitions and corporate law projects. She contributed to conducting general assembly and board processes, preparing draft resolutions and corporate governance documents, legal due diligence ahead of share acquisitions, and the drafting of share purchase agreements (SPA) and shareholders' agreements (SHA) and related closing work.
Her earlier work also included KVKK (Turkish personal data protection) compliance projects and tax disputes, as well as litigation connected with health law, real estate law and criminal law. This multidisciplinary experience helps companies assess their disputes not only as a case file, but together with corporate structure, contractual relationships and regulatory obligations.
In addition to her legal education, Koksoy holds a bachelor's degree in international relations. Her approach is to assess the connections between disputes, regulation, contracts and corporate structure together, to make legal risks visible at an early stage, and to develop practical solution strategies aligned with companies' commercial objectives.
